It's a Thursday today. It's a Thursday and this week is almost over, but dear god, it's taken years to get here.

it's calm, dark, a beautiful night. there are stars in the sky and a slight wind. yet there's lightning. sheet after sheet of mad, impossible lightning. the sky's on fire, and the crickets sing on.
i'm home again. i was away, away - visiting the easternmost coast of the world, watching the sun rise and set over the ocean. hiking though the untamed territory of the mountains. it was hard, our trip. after a day of continuous uphill trek, through rain that never really stopped and wind so strong i worried about blowing over, i stopped for a break and couldn't bring myself to get up again. at that point, walking 2.5 more km to base camp seemed h

the weather is doing strange things tonight. the wind is blowing fast, like it has somewhere it has to be. but the sky seems so still, like it's watching the wind go. and the air smells as if it's abut to rain or as if it just rained or maybe it just has aspirations of carrying rain someday. needless to say, it's the sort of night that nights were made for. it's the sort of night for dancing.
